One Little Twist…

The Turn That Changes The View

Small-Group Interpretive Tours

We’ll show you some remarkable places…

And share a few stories you might not expect.

We offer seasonal tours in the red rocks of Sedona and along the coast of Maine. The landscapes are stunning, from sweeping vistas and quiet details to the architecture, sculptures, and history woven into these places. We explore them at a slower pace, with no more than six guests, leaving time for both the scenery and the stories that belong to these places.

Our tours draw on professional Interpretive training, but begin with something much simpler: curiosity. A story, a question, or an overlooked detail can make a familiar scene seem entirely new.

We call it “One Little Twist...” A closer look may reveal something that was there all along.

Meet Your Hosts

We’re Case and Laurie St. Denis. We share a life and this work together, both grounded in the love we have for each other, for people, and for the incredible places we’re fortunate to share with our guests.

I am a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation. My path to this work has taken a few turns. After a varied career, much of it self-employed, I spent nearly a decade as a professional long-haul driver, logging more than a million safe miles across the country. Laurie joined me for the final five years and we happily spent time working together, criss-crossing the country, visiting national parks and other beautiful and historic places along the way. Those years deepened our love for one another, for nature and the world around us.

Laurie brings a natural gift for hospitality and the quiet care that helps people feel at ease. During our years on the road, she documented our travels through photography, with her sharp eye picking up the details that express her own way of seeing. You can view some of her work here. Friends who followed our travels on social media would often tell us how much they wished they could come along for the ride.

Now, in a way, they can.

When she joins a tour, she’s happy to photograph guests at scenic spots and offer tips to help them capture the beauty around them from their own point of view.

‍On Tour With Us

A Different Kind of Day

There’s time to linger over a view, follow an interesting question, or stop for something that catches our eye. Some of the best moments of a day aren't on the itinerary.

Come curious. We'll see where the day takes us.

Who This Day Is For

Our tours are designed for curious adults who enjoy exploring at an unhurried pace, whether traveling alone, as a couple, or with friends.

Each tour requires at least two guests and accommodates no more than six. Individual reservations are welcome.

Join a small group of fellow travelers on one of our scheduled tours, or choose a Half-Day or Full-Day Private Tour for your own party. Private Tours are arranged personally, with departure times subject to availability. All guests must be 18 or older.

Our desire is that every guest feel that the day was shaped with them in mind.

The Interpretive Approach

Case is a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation.

An old building has a date, an architect, and a history. But it also has stories: the people who built it, the lives lived within its walls, and the changes it has witnessed.

Even the rocks beneath our feet have stories to tell, shaped by forces and events reaching back millions of years.

Interpretation brings these stories into the experience, connecting what we see with the world around us.

More About “One Little Twist…”

The invitation is simple:

Take a little time.

Look once.

Give it one little twist...

Look again.

Don’t let the first look have the last word.
