Frequently Asked Questions
Is This Tour Right for You?
-
Perhaps you shouldn’t.
Most tours are built for coverage and efficiency, moving through the main sights with a steady stream of commentary. Ours is intentionally different. We keep the group small (no more than six), travel at a slower pace, and leave room for quieter looking. The landscapes and objects we visit are remarkable; we simply meet them without rushing.
If you want the fastest way to see the highlights, other tours will serve you better.
If you are drawn to a more unhurried day, with time to notice more than the obvious and the possibility of seeing the world around you (and perhaps even your own life) in a fresh way, you may feel at home with us.
We include a relaxed, sit-down lunch at a local restaurant, stay on paved roads, and keep the experience shared rather than private. We make no promises of insight, only a carefully shaped day and the space for your own attention to do its work. You’re welcome to join us if that approach resonates.
-
The experience relies on a slower pace, time to notice, and what unfolds between stops. For that reason it is best suited to adults and older teens. Families with young children usually find a different style of tour more enjoyable for everyone involved.
-
The tour is conducted entirely in English and relies on dialogue and shared reflection. Guests who are comfortable and fluent in English will get the most from the experience.
-
We kindly ask that pets and emotional support (comfort) animals stay home for this experience.
Our day is shaped around taking in what is in front of you, gentle conversation, and a shared, unhurried rhythm. Animals (even the most well-behaved) can naturally draw attention in ways that make it harder for everyone to stay present with the landscape and with one another.
Service animals that have been individually trained to perform specific tasks for a person with a disability are, of course, welcome.
If a service animal becomes unsettled or is not under the handler’s control, we may gently ask that it be removed so the peaceful atmosphere can be preserved for the whole group.
Thank you for helping us hold this calm, attentive space together.

Sedona tours run in the fall, winter, and spring. Coastal Maine tours are planned for the summer season.
Most days begin at 8:30 a.m. and finish by mid-afternoon. Plan on 6–7 hours for the full experience.
Available dates for each location appear on the booking calendar.
Booking, Price & Logistics
-
The listed rate on the Tours page is per person for the full day. One price covers the seat, the guiding, lunch, entries, and taxes. So your only decision is which date. Bring a companion and the total is simply the rate times the number of guests.
-
We do not offer discounts. Our pricing is set to reflect the quality of a small-group, all-inclusive experience and to keep the operation simple and sustainable.
-
Tips are not required and are never expected. The rate is designed to be complete.
If you feel the day has been meaningful and wish to show appreciation, a tip is welcome but entirely optional. There is no suggested amount.
-
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the tour receive a full refund. Cancellations inside 48 hours are non-refundable.
If we must cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Full details are available on our Terms & Conditions page.

No. To keep the day simple and on schedule, we meet all guests at a set location which will be identified at the time of booking.
The tour begins and ends at the same place, which makes it easier for everyone to plan the rest of their day. There will be ample free and paid parking available near the designated start point.
We are glad to stay after the tour to answer questions or visit with anyone who would like a few extra minutes.
-
We plan to begin offering the Maine tours in Summer 2027. Exact dates and itinerary details will be refined in early 2027. You are welcome to join the interest list now so we can notify you when booking opens.

Practical Details of the Day
-
We limit each tour to a maximum of six guests and require a minimum of two.
The small maximum size allows for a slower pace and more personal atmosphere. If only one person has booked by the cutoff time (typically 48 hours before departure), we will contact you with two options:
Reschedule to another available date, or
Receive a full refund.
This helps us keep the experience sustainable and high-quality for everyone.
-
Tours are shared experiences with a small group. We do not offer fully private or customized itineraries. The shared setting is part of the design.
-
We travel on paved roads and make only short walks on pavement or well-maintained gravel or dirt paths. There is no hiking and no physically demanding terrain. Guests will board and exit the vehicle multiple times and stand for periods at overlooks and sculpture sites. The tour is not wheelchair accessible. The day is designed to be comfortable for those who can manage these modest physical requirements.
-
We travel in a 2026 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 with a tall roof for easy movement and comfortable headroom. The vehicle is equipped with a slide-out running board to make boarding and exiting simple, individual cup holders, and USB-C/USB charging ports at the seats.
A full stereo A/V system with integrated PA ensures everyone can hear the narration clearly. Windows are tinted with UV protection for comfort and privacy while still allowing excellent views of the landscape. The vehicle also has auto-start climate control so the cabin stays comfortable, and it is fully compliant with USDOT regulations.
Although we have seating for a total of ten guests, we keep the group to six so everyone has space and a clear view.
-
Lunch is included and takes place at a quality, local restaurant. We most often use Wildflower -view current menu-(menu changes seasonally). If that location is unavailable for any reason, we will choose a comparable alternative and let you know as early as possible.
-
Yes. Most of the places we stop have restroom facilities available for guests. A few of the shorter scenic or sculpture stops do not. We plan the day with regular opportunities for comfort stops and will always let you know when facilities are available at the next location.
If you have specific needs, just mention them at the start of the day and we will do our best to accommodate them within the flow of the tour.
-
Comfortable clothing suitable for the season, good walking shoes, and a light layer are usually sufficient. Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat are often useful in both Sedona and Maine. And don’t forget your camera!
A small day bag or backpack is helpful for carrying these items, along with any personal medications or other necessities. If you use walking poles or similar supports for comfort on short paths, feel free to bring them.
We are happy to provide complimentary chilled bottled spring water during the tour.
